One drawing book of original drawings, untitled, created by Anna Carpenter, ca. 1845? The book is 24 unnumbered leaves in length, and contains both original and (presumably) copied pencil drawings. The first few pages are exercises of lines and shapes, and the remaining pages include images of trees, houses, landscapes, and fences. Tissue paper guard sheets are bound in between the leaves. "Anna Carpenter" is written in ms. in the upper left-hand corner of the inside front cover. "10.00" (price) is written in ms., below it. The accompanying note written by DK reads in part: "Amazing progression in one book." Title supplied by cataloger.

The drawing book is 38 unnumbered pages in length, and contains pencil drawings of women, a few of which have been colored with watercolor. Some of the drawings are labeled. The book is bound in gray cloth; "Wynna Wright 1908, + 1909." is written in ms., in pencil, on the front cover. "Wynna Wright, 8 years old, June 13, 1908" is written in ms. on the first page. A bookseller's label, "G.J. Esselen, Successor to Mrs. J.C. White, 19 Bromfield St., Boston, Mass." is mounted to the lower left-hand corner of the inside back cover. Title supplied by cataloger.

The drawing book is 16 unnumbered pages in length, and contains 9 pencil drawings and 6 additional pencil drawings which are laid in. Most of the leaves in the book are blank. The drawings on the leaves include a small fairy, houses and landscapes, and floral designs. The drawings on separate sheets that have been laid in include a map of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi signed "Drawn by Henry Tubbs."; a house; a sailboat, and a whimsical image of a foot, with piglets for toes, with a "This Little Piggy" rhyme written in ms. alongside it; this drawing is on tissue paper. The book is bound in light green paperboard; the front cover is illustrated with an engraved image of an open drawing books with drawing and writing instruments nearby. The title is above the drawing book. The back cover is blank. The drawing book is 20 unnumbered leaves in length, and contains 7 ink and watercolor maps and 3 leaves of pencil sketches of flowers. The maps are on the first 9 pages of the book, and the flower sketch are on the last 3 leaves of the book. The flower sketches are all dated [18]88. The maps are views of: the southeastern United States; the New England States; Palestine; the Mid-Atlantic States; the Caribbean; Australia, and an unlabeled map of Italy. Tissue paper guard sheets are bound in between each of the leaves.
