Description
One boxed set of colored pencils entitled Turquoise Prismacolor, manufactured by Eagle Pencil Company, New York, London, Toronto, ca. 1935. The set is comprised of three pencils -- red, blue and yellow -- which lie in a paper tray inside a paper slipcase. The outer slipcase is gold-colored, with green lettering. On the underside of the package is a listing of other colors and sets manufactured by the company.

    Two sets of colored pencils and one Universal Holder No. 48, manufactured by Koh-I-Noor Pencil Co. and L. & C. Hardtmuth, Inc., Czechoslovakia and Bloomsbury, New Jersey, respectively, ca. 1930. The larger of the two pencil sets contains 11 colored pencils and a "lengthener" within a paperboard box and slipcase. The second set is comprised of 4 unused colored pencils within a paperboard box and slipcase. The Universal Holder is a metal pencil-like holder "for Graphite leads No. 2018 - Negro leads No. 2610 [and] Sanguine Leads No. 2620." Title supplied by cataloger.

Slipped into the box is an informational sheet about the pencils.

The set was issued with one dozen pencils; one is missing from this set. The pencils are varying degrees of hardness. The box is blue with gold lettering; the outer box serves as a slipcase for the inner box.

    One boxed set of colored pencils entitled Eagle Copycolor, manufactured by Eagle, ca. 1935. The set was issued with 12 colored pencils; one is missing from this set. The pencils are housed in a blue and gold hinged box which snaps shut. The top lid opens from bottom to top, and the pencils are placed within a space attached to the top lid. A colorful image of a stained glass window decorates the paper label on the top lid of the box.
