Description
This collection consists of 24 racetrack programs, 1 players' guide, and 1 directory related to California and Mexico horse racing and materials dates from 1926-1993. The racetracks represented include: Bay Meadows, Caliente Racetrack, Del Mar Turf Club, Golden Gates Fields, Hollywood Park, Longacres, Santa Anita Park, Tijuana Jockey Club, and The Track Exhibition Park. Most of the programs are from 1946-1955 and include multiple copies: five programs from Caliente Racetrack, seven from Del Mar Turf Club, five programs from Santa Anita Park. All other racetracks have one or two programs.

    Photographic prints made from negatives 5018-5997 by Theodore Hall. Negative 5585 has a wall calendar showing the year as 1952. Los Angeles photographs include Bunker Hill, City Hall, Grand Central Market, Plaza Church, Victorian houses, camera club outings. Other locations: San Francisco Bay Area (where Hall's relatives lived); Santa Anita Park racetrack in Arcadia, California; Kellogg Park, West Pomona. Photographs of families, children playing, and other topics are interspersed throughout.
