The jury-man charged; or, A letter to a citizen of London. : VVherein is shewed the true meaning of the statute, entituled, An act to prevent and suppress seditious conventicles. As also, the false glosses and intrepretations detected. And it is evinced by undeniable reasons that the Quakers and others that are ordinarily committed to prison, by justices of the peace and chief magistrates of corporations, upon that statute, are not guilty of the breach of it; and yet in reason it is impossible to convict any man among us of being present at a meeting, under pretense and colour of any exercise of religion in other manner than is allowed by the lyturgy or practice of the Church of England, except those that in their meetings are manifestly seditious or otherwise notoriously wicked.
